# Welcome

Welcome to The Little Money Book, a field guide to your financial life.

<div align="left"><img src="/files/-MgqyodjrsTnWdRj0Pqz" alt=""></div>

This guide is an introduction to many important personal finance topics. It includes resources and suggestions for financial products and services that can help you manage your finances. The opinions and suggestions are my own -- I don't get compensated or rewarded in any way by the companies mentioned. This website is free to access, or you can buy a **paperback** or Kindle edition of the book [here](https://www.amazon.com/Little-Money-Book-Field-Financial/dp/1737518996/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1\&keywords=the+little+money+book\&qid=1626613192\&s=books\&sr=1-7).

I will occasionally make changes and update this guide but I will not promise to keep all the information current. Also, I've tried to use reliable sources, but cannot guarantee the accuracy and completeness of the information.&#x20;

If you find this guide helpful I would love to hear from you. More importantly, if I've gotten something wrong or you have noteworthy experiences (good or bad) with the products I highlight, please let me know.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://fieldmark.gitbook.io/the-little-money-book/master.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
